Clinically Integrated Network: Myth or Reality?
ACHE Physician Executives Forum Special Program
New York City - Friday July 28, 2017
What is a clinically integrated network? Are they all the same? What is the value of a CIN? Healthcare organizations are seeking innovative ways to unify their network of providers. While there are various structural approaches, each one is based on an underlying foundation that includes engagement, governance, measurement and defined incentives, bound by the commitment to enhance quality of patient care and reduce cost.
This unique program will examine components of a CIN and provide a variety of specific examples of successful CINs. Particular emphasis will be placed on the various ways to better engage all types of physicians, as well as build and implement clinical protocols and guidelines to monitor treatment and utilization across a wide range of disease states.
Critical to physician reimbursement topics, this program will also demonstrate how a CIN can help meet the Advanced Alternative Payment Model safe harbor from MIPS under the MACRA provisions. Participants will have the opportunity to:
• Explore methods to prepare physicians for a new operating entity, help them see the changes ahead, and engage them to support the development of the ultimate clinical integration model.
• Discuss how to transform health systems into value-based Clinically Integrated organizations, address legal and administrative issues, and develop the infrastructure that will facilitate physician participation.
• Identify different approaches to organizational structure and how to use data to enhance quality and efficiency, as well as prepare to secure contracts.
