Chip Hubbs has been President/CEO of Memorial Health since arriving in Marysville in March 2004. His management experience spans various Senior Management positions with hospitals and systems including Lutheran Health Network in Fort Wayne and University of Chicago Hospitals. Chip was 28-years-old when hired to be CEO at Community Memorial Hospital in Hicksville, Ohio back in 1999.

A graduate of Indiana University with a BS in Public Health and a Master’s degree in Health Administration, Chip earned a fellowship at the Sinai Health System in Chicago. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and has received several professional acknowledgments for his work including Modern Healthcare Magazine’s Up and Comer Award in 2002, Columbus Business First’s “Forty Under 40” in September 2005, 2013 Union County Business Leader of the Year, and 2014 Columbus Business First’s C-Suite Honoree.

Memorial Hospital has received its own share of accolades in recent years including having been named a Top 100 Best Place to Work from Modern Healthcare; a Consumer Reports state ranking of #1 and national ranking of #10 in patient safety; and recognition as being in the Top 5% in the nation for Outstanding Patient Experience. Memorial consistently ranks in the top two among all 12 Central Ohio hospitals for patient satisfaction and is only the third hospital in the state of Ohio to have attained ISO certification.  

Outside the hospital, Chip is the past Board Chair for the Ohio Hospital Association and is an elected Board Member of Fairbanks Local Schools. He is past president for both the Union County Chamber of Commerce and the Union County Family YMCA Board of Trustees, and coaches his sons travel basketball team.  Chip lives in Marysville with his wife and four children.
